Project 13761B
Baboosic Lake Road and Wire Road Bridge Replacements over the F. E. Everett Turnpike (FEET) NB and SB
This project will replace the bridges that carry Baboosic Lake Road and Wire Road over the Turnpike to accommodate the planned widening of the Turnpike from two to three lanes in each direction. The construction work includes bridge construction, roadway approach construction, retaining wall construction, and construction of stormwater quality treatment facilities. Project completion is scheduled for September 2028.
Recent Activities (as of early September 2026)
Baboosic Lake Road
- Binder pavement has been placed along the eastern bridge approach.
- Work has begun installing the Abutment B cofferdam.
Wire Road
- Cofferdam anchors and whalers have been installed.
- Areas surrounding the abutments have been excavated.
FEET
- Continued constructing BMP 1084 and associated drainage.
Upcoming Work (September 2026 to October 2026)
Baboosic Lake Road
- Continue installing Abutment B cofferdam.
- Begin installing Abutment A cofferdam and constructing southern diversion.
Wire Road
- Begin western bridge approach drainage and roadway select work.
FEET
- Minimal activity anticipated.
General Traffic Implications
Fall 2026
- Rolling roadblocks, shoulder closures and night work, as needed, for temporary roadwork, as traffic allows.
