Project 13761A
Turnpike widening from North of Exit 8 in Nashua to South of Exit 10 in Merrimack.
Schedule
- Summer 2024 - Begin Construction
- Fall 2024 through Fall 2025 - Primary activity is to the build the northbound portion of the Pennichuck Brook bridge including widening the turnpike along the northbound barrel.
- Winter 2025 through Fall 2026 - Primary activity is to build the median portion of the Pennichuck Brook bridge including reconstructing the median of the turnpike.
- Winter 2026 through Fall 2027 - Primary activity is to build the southbound portion of the Pennichuck Brook bridge including widening the turnpike along the southbound barrel.
- Winter 2027 to Spring 2028 - Final paving and sign work
- Spring 2028 - Anticipated completion of construction
Traffic Impact
Rolling roadblocks, shoulder closures and night work, as needed, for temporary roadwork, as traffic allows.
Project 13761B
Replacement of the Baboosic Lake Road and Wire Road bridges over the turnpike.
Schedule
- Spring 2026 - Begin Construction
- 2026 Season - The primary activity will consist of utility relocations, installing a temporary bridge that will carry Baboosic Lake Road over the turnpike, and beginning of construction of the new Wire Road bridge and retaining wall. Traffic is anticipated to remain in the current configuration with some shoulder closures and night work on Turnpike, as needed and as traffic allows.
- 2027 Season - The primary activity will be removing and the existing Baboosic Lake Road bridge and beginning construction of the new bridge. At Wire Road, construction will continue on the new bridge and retaining wall. Traffic on Baboosic Lake Road will shift onto a temporary roadway once the temporary bridge is completed. Once the new Wire Road bridge and retaining wall are completed, traffic will shift onto the new roadway and bridge.
- 2028 Season - The primary activities will be finishing the new Baboosic Lake Road bridge and removing the temporary bridge. The existing Wire Road bridge will be removed as well. Traffic will be maintained on the new bridges and roadways.
- Fall 2028 - Anticipated completion of construction.
Traffic Impact
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on Baboosic Lake Road and Wire Road at all times with some periods of flagger controlled alternating one-way traffic. On the Turnpike, rolling roadblocks, shoulder closures and night work, as needed and as traffic allows.

Turnpike widening from Exit 11 to north of the Souhegan River Bridge.
- Final design is approximately 60% complete
- Anticipated start of construction is Spring of 2027
- Anticipated construction completion in Fall of 2029

Turnpike widening from 0.6 miles south of US Route 3 overpass to the NH Route 101 ramps at the I-293 interchange.
- Began construction in Spring of 2022
- Construction is Complete

Turnpike widening from just north of Exit 12 to approximately 1 mile south of the Bedford Toll Plaza.
- Began construction in Summer of 2023
- Construction is Complete
Project 13761G
Turnpike widening from just north of the Souhegan River Bridge to just north of Exit 12.
- Final design is approximately 60% complete
- Anticipated start of construction is 2030
- Anticipated construction completion in 2033
